Back to School: Fashion by Hatchling

I'm always on the hunt for fabulous & unique clothes for little ones. This time, I think I hit the jack pot. Hatchling is an Orange County based company creating "organic clothing for little peeps." As their website says:
Hatchling tees are not what you typically think of when eco-friendly children's clothing comes to mind. Rather than providing a soft color palette with gentle motifs, Hatchling brings you a bright and bold alternative with a sense of humor... Hatchling clothing is made with love in the USA using the softest 100% organic Supima cotton, azo free dyes, and non-toxic enviromentally safe inks. Hatchling was designed for high spirited children everywhere while doing a little something to help keep our planet safe and beautiful for them.
My boys love THIS "Rabbit Food" and THIS "Monkey Around" tee. While I'm secretly wishing that I could get THIS "My BFF" in adult sizes for C & me.

Found something you (or your kids) absolutely love? Don't you fret! As a Just Spotted reader you get 20% off! Just enter promo code JS20 at checkout! Shop HERE.

Pooka Children's Clothing

I'm loving the new-to-me kid's clothing company Pooka. First of all they are a local Orange County company, & you know, I always love that! Besides that, they create "stylish & unique quality clothing that's good for people and the planet we call home." Pooka promises that their clothes are:
* 100% Organic Cotton
* Made in the USA - Sweatshop Free
* Low-impact dyed
* Phthalate & PVC-free screen-printed
* Tagless, Durable & Washing Machine Friendly
* A portion of each sale is donated to charity

But you want to know what I really love about Pooka? That two of the founders/ designers are kids! Yep, you read that right. Pooka Children's Clothing was started (& is primarily designed by) Marien a second grader, her brother Bailey (who is in the 4th grade) & their mom Andrea. I can't wait to pick up a t-shirt (or two) for my little guys!

Shoes are my favorite accessory.

I think my boys definitely need THESE tiny camo TOMS. & while I'm shopping, maybe I'll pick a pair of THESE silver glitter TOMS for me, & THESE black burlap TOMS for the hubby. I just love the comfort & styling of TOMS shoes and I love that for every pair of shoes purchased, they give a pair of shoes to a child in need. How awesome is that?

A Sneak Peek

As a mom of two boys I strive to find clothing that isn’t the same boring jeans and t-shirt. Maybe something with a little extra color or texture, but in general boys clothes are pretty boring in mainstream shops. The founders of Peek...aren’t you curious bring their savvy fashion backgrounds to children’s clothing and offer a line of clothing that is sassy and colorful for both boys and girls.

The store is light and welcoming. There are bookshelves lined with quaint books to keep little ones occupied while Mom buys everything in sight. My favorites are their retro style track jackets for boys and their bohemian dresses for girls. I visited their Fashion Island location, but you can access their entire collection online.

p.s. Rumor has it, that all Spring & Summer clothes are 50 % off starting Thursday, June 26th - Tuesday, July 15th.
