One of our favorite FREE winter activities is returning to the Orange County Great Park... the Great Skate Ice Rink. The ice rink will be open Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays, January 30th - February 28th, 2010, from 11am - 10pm. & Have I mentioned the best part yet? The Great Skate Ice Rink is absolutely & completely FREE! Admission is FREE, Skate Rentals are FREE & Parking is FREE. That's as FREE as you can get! Can I get a "Woot! But that's not all... a Snow Day is kicking off this entire month of FREE ice skating. If you head over to the Orange County Great Park on Saturday, January 30th (between 11am & 4pm), you'll see the park transformed into a winter wonderland complete with snowman building, sledding, ice skating, hockey skills games, craft & all sorts of snow play. The entire event is FREE (although parking is $8) & there's no need to bring your sled, there will be plenty on hand. Just don't forget to dress warm & bring your mittens!
