Community Christmas Celebration

Every December, for 18 years, people from all over Orange County have gathered together to attend a event known simply as the Community Christmas Celebration. This celebration is a FREE, non-denominational event which brings together community members to view a wonderful display of hundreds of nativities (or crèches). In addition to the hundreds of nativities from all over the world, many local musical groups and professional musicians provide holiday musical performances throughout the event."

Personally speaking, I can actually say I've attended the Community Christmas Celebration & it's something I look forward to each & every year. There are literally hundreds of different nativities collected from all over the world, and "each crèche tells one of the oldest stores known to the world in a new and different way." The crèches on display are made from all kinds of materials - from wood, paper, glass, fabric & even such unique materials as walnuts an gourds. Each & every crèche giving viewers a new perspective of the "centuries-old story of that first Christmas."

Oh! & Don't forget your camera! A special "children's area" is part of the event... children can dress up as shepherds, wise men, angels, Joseph & Mary, or create Christmas cards with the supplies provided.
