I have been itching to try Watermarc in Laguna Beach for what seems like months and our anniversary was the perfect excuse to make it happen. Luckily, we were seated upstairs where it was quieter and we could enjoy our dinner conversation. I have to say that every plate was brilliant, but I should have known because the Chef/Owner is the same visionary of 230 Forest. My favorites were: the Lobster Congac Bisque with Tarrogon Gelato, the Yellow Fin Tuna Two Ways, and the Espresso Chocolate Cake. Find an excuse to go to Watermarc this weekend because it is a wonderful dining experience.

I heart Threading

I tried threading my eyebrows yesterday after hearing my girlfriend rave about her experience and have to say I am an absolute fan. It took three minutes, cost ten dollars, and the pain was minimal. My eyebrows look wonderful if I do say so myself! Threading is much more precise than waxing and is also much less painful. The best part about the whole experience was I could do it right at the local mall, but if you want a more private experience many salons offer threading as well.

phil & teds traveller: The Perfect Baby Cot for the Beach

K and I are big phil & teds fans. We both have the classic stroller and love, love, love them, so when faced with how to survive on the beach with a baby I knew that phil & teds would come to the rescue again with some great piece of baby gear. I went online and found that they have the Traveller, a durable aluminum cot weighing less than six pounds.

I am happy to report that I took the Traveller to the beach today and it meets all of my requirements: portable (less than six pounds!!!), protective (comes with a UV shade), and on sale (Costco has it for $99). The baby loved being able to roll around without being covered in sand and even took a long nap on the beach in her cute cot. Set-up takes five minutes and if I can do it anyone over the age of eight should be able to put it together in four minutes (just remember to put the top section together first before attaching it to the legs). Thanks phil & teds for another great piece of baby gear.

Crepes are a Sunday favorite for our family. Here are a few essentials for successful crepe making:

1) Tibos Electric Crepe Maker
Pricey, but an amazing tool that makes crepe making an art right in your very own home.

2) Alton Brown's Crepe Recipe
This recipe is my go-to source for yummy crepes.

3) Trader Joe's Belgium Chocolate Pudding
Just typing about this pudding makes me drool. We put it in crepes to make a decadent dessert.

If you don't want to go to the trouble of making crepes try Lulu's.
